Are they using firefox3.6.6 and the flash 10 pets? it's not giving me problems unless you try to install the flash first then it caused all sorts of problems. (ie add firefox366 then the flash pet, restart x, then upgrade ff).
Luci-219 has the latest 10.1 flashplayer.

Not sure how this is happening or why
but the memory leaking is back (in Seamonkey and Firefox)
10 minutes of stream video and my browser locks up

Tried installing an earlier Flash - did not help
A way to check is to run Menu -> System -> Htop and watch the memory stats as you watch streaming video. I just watched BBC America for about 30 minutes and the memory usage increased from 215 to 235. Mostly I was watching a small screen but I did watch about 10 minutes of full screen. I was using the Iron 5 browser. When I closed Iron the memory usage went down to 101. Now to check with Firefox.

With Firefox 4.0b3 I watched about 30 minutes again, and memory usage went from 196-202, not bad at all--about 15 minutes was full screen. This was with the flashplayer in luci-219 which is the latest. When I closed the browser memory usage went down to 115.

Lobster, do you have the high performance graphics installed? (grasping at straws ;-)

And what does htop say, when you get a chance?

And finally, Edit -> preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings -> No proxy

Running 219. Cant break it. DAMN. Must try harder. Midori sketchy as ever but way better than alternatives. Cant do SSL but hey, why would you risk it?
Video performance is good using Intel driver, no need to install Xorg High for the software I use. Very nice work thanks guys..............

Setting up search engines in Midori is a little more complex :) I will try to find config info for you.

Here is the .pet for the missing icons in Midori, just install it in the usual way.

Here is how to set up a search engine in Midori. I will use Google as most will want this (?)
1)Load Midori and in the url bar, enter the Google address www.google.com, google.co.uk, whatever. Your local Google will load.
2)In the search box, type a term, say midori, but anything will do. Hit 'enter' and run the search. Google will present you with a search result page.
3)Look in the address bar and you will see something like this: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&so ... =&gs_rfai=. Copy everything up to midori to the clipboard (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&so ... -8859-1&q=)
4)From the Midori menus, select Tools>manage search engines. In the pop up window, select 'Add'. Give a Name, Usually Google, and a description, and paste the url from the clipboard into the address box
5)Finish, highlight and maybe select to set it as default, and you are done.

It's a new day. The sun is shinning. The birds are singing. The air is clean and sweet smelling. Walk into the light. The glove is thrown down. You can do it! We know you can!

Are you sure? Midori does not open a download window like Firefox, it just goes ahead and saves the file to where you specified.
