Chinese Language Pets
Hello icake.
Can you tell me if the wqy-microhei font supports all CJK? It seems a fairly standard font which most Chinese users would load in most Linux distros. Info I have is that it does support all CJK, I just wish to confirm your pets do too.
Reason is I have a little C app (relevant to puppy too) that is gettext'd and I wish to add CJK support.
Thx.

yes.Can you tell me if the wqy-microhei font supports all CJK?
Some of my Chinese language pets and half-Chinese language pets will install the wqy-michrohei font file to the English Puppy. These include all the early Chinese language pets created before version 8.0.0 and all the half-Chinese language pets from version 8.X.X to 13.X.X. Once these pets are installed, the modified English Puppy system will have wqy-michrohei fonts and so can display CJK.Info I have is that it does support all CJK, I just wish to confirm your pets do too.
Thanks. I'll post the app soon and perhaps you would be interested to do the Chinese translation? It's only 8 lines, take 5 minutes . Currently I have presumably awful google translation. For all I know it could say something offensive! (I hope not). It was to test the font rendering which seems working.
There is also virtual term output (only for debug) .. I suppose the user must set "wenquanyi micro hei" in their terminal settings? Thanks.

Let me know when your program is ready.I'll post the app soon and perhaps you would be interested to do the Chinese translation?
I think it depends on the original font setting. Some terminal font setting can display CJK already (therefore no need to reset) while others cannot (they need to be reset to enable CJK display).the user must set "wenquanyi micro hei" in their terminal settings?
