Happy New Year! I've just downloaded MacPup 525 and am posting from it now; it looks very cool (I like the Roman numeral clock) and I also like the fact that Flash is enabled in Firefox from the off, which is increasingly not the case with Puppies.

Darkcity I will wait until he responds to your post. The issue is that he has two plugin installed and they are conflicting with each other. I haven't see "icedtea" since I quit using fedora/red hat . It's an open source version of java. He has also use an old .pet that I cant speak for. Several .pet set up java differently, some work, some don't depending on what version of puppy they are for. He need to get rid of both of those and follow my guide for installing java . I know that works I use it all the time.

I've just given away my copy to our local community centre manager (who likes Linux and Puppy) as a Christmas / New Year present, so I hope she likes it. (She is registered here, but I'm not allowed to say under what name).

Hi folks !

Here is something which looks quite interesting .

Compressing RAM with zRam .

I am not a a Linux expert but maybe someone more skilled can use this idea to make use of it in Puppy or elsewhere .

Well... you have a very unnoticeable accent, at least on my speakers playing that YouTube vid.

FWIW, I'm in NC, but both my parents are from upstate NJ, so I have a bit of an odd accent myself.

Texas is one of the best nations on earth.
I hope for one vacation there,
while I'm still young enough to reel in a fish :)
