DLNA Quirky Xerus64 Pup V1 - released 2nd July 2016

UPDATE PLUS OPTIONAL PET
It has always been the case that Google Chrome has been awkward to run as root or spot in Puppy.
In addition, in BarryK's experimental Quirky based Pups, only minimal sandboxing has been possible.
The release of Chrome Version 53.0.2785.92 (64-bit) has only served to increase those difficulties.
Chrome has also acquired additional dependencies not present in Pups prior to Werewolf or Xerus.
The net is also awash with reports of people unable to run their existing extensions following an upgrade to 53.
I have witnessed that and a completely fresh install is best including prior deletion of the:
A. /.cache/google-chrome folder plus its contents
B. /.config/google-chrome folder plus its contents.
(N/B These folders may also be named as "google-chrome-stable" or just "chrome" depending on the Pup)
Please also note that there will be zero sandboxing with Quirky based Pups.
You can of course opt to remain on your current version. In this Pup both Seamonkey & Firefox 48.01 are
present and the main reason for including Chrome are its extensions that may be used for casting and
for viewing/playing the contents of the targeted media repository. If you wish to proceed these are the steps:
Step1: Download the pet and export your bookmarks.
Step2: Take a screenshot or note of your Chrome extensions & versions as with the exception of Google Cast which is now
built in, you will have to reinstall and configure them at the end of the process.
Step3: Back up your Pup. (Always a wise move)
Step4: Use QPM to uninstall both Google Chrome Stable & any existing Get Latest Chrome Version pet.
Step5: Delete the folders as at A. and B. above.
Step6: Install the new pet & then use the new internet menu item to install 53.0.2785.92
Step7: Import your bookmarks & reinstall your extensions.
*** EDIT: 8th Sept 2016 ***
On Wednesday September 7th Google updated the stable channel to 53.0.2785.101 for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
I can confirm that the new pet successfully updates from 53.0.2785.92 in both Werewolf & Xerus.
