I'd really like to get wine working as there are apps I have used with wine on Ubuntu I think would work very well on Puppy as well.

I've tried WINE in puppy, various versions of the dotpup (or whatever) in various versions of puppy, on various hardware platforms, and none have ever worked. In most cases it hasn't been able to find something.

I've been running WINE in SuSE since version 9.3 - and in various other distributions, including PC-BSD version 1.x

I, too, would really like to get it working as I'm using and recommending PortableApps (for Windows) in Windows, and would like to be able to run selected ones in a portable Linux system, Puppy being the obvious choice.

Please click on the link and go and look - while it still has many of the problems associated with MS Windows, it does come with ClamAv which is a superb industrial strength daily update-able anti-virus application.

This thread is for an antique Wine version.
Get a more recent version from somewhere like http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 39&t=37783

Wine actually works quite well now :)
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here
