agreed......Full nfs booting for the future perhaps but main aim is to get something working.now:).That looks very promising. Seems like everything is available and 'only' needs to be assembled together. Ecomoney's idea to use a 'Barebone Puppy' and then load the other sfs-files over the network, seems like a good way to go to me. More easy to impement then to include the network drivers in the initial boot process.
As an aside I first played with NFS using geexbox which is a 10MB media playing distribution which boots up and automatically mounts all sources including NFS shares
