rg66 released x-slacko 4.4 on Sep 26, 2017 and mistfire released a number of x-slacko 4.4 slim systems (r1, r2, r3 and r4) shortly after.
Main features:
X-Slacko is a Puppy Linux derivative based on 01micko's Slacko Puppy with the Xfce desktop environment and is Slackware compatible.
File-roller archive manager (as of v4.0)
Geany text editor
Gnome Mplayer media player
Palemoon web browser
Simple File Sharing for Samba
Thunar file manager
Xfce4-Whisker menu
Version 4.4 (latest) is based on slacko-6.3.2 (32bit) with Xfce-4.12, Slackware 14.1
compatible with 3.14.56 PAE kernel
the slim versions:
remastered of X-Slacko (using build kit and customized remaster script) with some tweaks and revisions of puppy's core programs
size reduced from 226 to 170 mb
just for plaything
can be used as rescue disc for other systems
