Installing Plex on Quirky Werewolf 64

#1 Post by B164D »

Hi
I've been trying to install Plex Media Server from here https://plex.tv/downloads using the Ubuntu 64 deb plexmediaserver_0.9.12.19.1537-f38ac80_amd64.deb. Puppy Package Manager installs this putting an icon into the multimedia part of the menu but when clicked nothing visible happens. When I check the dependencies it says some libraries exist but are not in the library search path.
libboost_system.so.1.57.0
libzen.so.0
libiconv.so.2
libavutil.so.54
libboost_chrono.so.1.57.0
libsoci_core.so.3.0.0
libavcodec.so.56
I've tried the instructions in this post to no avail. http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=96398 I've searched but been unable to find any advice. It just works in Mint but I would rather use Puppy.
Can anyone tell me what the solution is in simple terms please?
Thanks.

To be sure Barry sees this, please post it in the Bugs section, either here or here, whichever is appropriate. :)
