(Solved) Compiling kernel in woof-ce kernel-kit

I have been running a 32 bit, slackware 14.2 based pup with kernel 4.4.93 since October without any problems.
Last week I built 32 and 64 bit versions of the same pup with kernel 4.4.116 on different computers. Both versions hang while shutting down or rebooting. Everything else with the build is fine.
Today I made a new 32 bit build using slackware 14.2 and the 4.4.93 kernel. No problems with shutdown and everything works fine.
When trying to compile the 4.4.118 kernel in kernel-kit, make errors appear before compiling begins:
Can anyone confirm if these problems are being introduced with the newer kernels.
Thank You

I tried to compile the kernel on both of the computers that were used to build the pups with the 4.4.116 kernel last week. No errors were reported with the 4.4.116, only the hang at shutdown.make[1]: warning: clock skew detected. Your build may be incomplete.
Can anyone confirm if these problems are being introduced with the newer kernels.
