I haven't tested very much Linux Operating Systems. One was Kubuntu and another two were Xubuntu and Lubuntu in different versions. Once I tested also Mint. Only Mint worked well out of the box. The Kubuntu is still installed on an old computer from 2009 and is used sometimes by my Girlfriend to play music when she's drumming on the huge drum kit. But it's not pretty much setup for a use by myself.

However: Puppy was my personal Number ONE since the beginning of 2012 when I published my first LazY Puppy. And it's still my Number ONE!

I don't think there will be ever another Number ONE! :D

I never can figure out quite where Distrowatch get their figures from. It's not like the majority of Linux distros go through an official "registration" process like MyCrudSoft & Crapple users have to.

Yes, it's nice to see Pup that high up in the rankings, and I would tend to go by user-submitted ratings more than I would those "official" figures; at least the user submissions are going to more accurately reflect user satisfaction.

But I doubt there's any way to tell how many folks have in fact submitted these ratings.....the smaller the "pool", the more skewed the stats will be.

Mike.

Those figures are the user ratings!

Those are not made up figures by DistroWatch.

Puppy Linux overall average user rating, as reported by users, is 9.31.
These figures come, directly from all user reviews, posted to a specific OS.

And if you look at the company we are in, wow, that's solid!!
We should be proud, very proud.

I don't know Arch, but Puppy is my personal absolute Number One and then Slackware.
The list looks very reliable to me.

Striking: the most 'popular' ones are not there. Strange.
Why are they so popular then?

We are slipping, down to third. Need to pull up our socks.
