Sound card switch not retained between puppy2.11 boots

I have a pci sound card and built in mother board sound.When I run the alsa sound wizard I can switch successfully from the mother board to the pci sound card but on rebooting the sound returns to mother board sound.This did not happen in puppy 2.01 which did change permanently across from one to the other sound system.
Any Ideas Welcome.
