firefox won't work.

I installed firefox and after 10 minutes it became to terminate itself each time I started it. I deleted pup_save file and started over from the begining. The result was the same.
I found another post last night that helped me. Close Firefox. Go into /root and change the name of the mozilla folder. (It's hidden so click on"show all" on the menu bar). Restart Firefox. That solved all the problems I was having. If it doesn't help you can revert to the original folder by changing the name back after deleting the new".mozilla" folder.
I'd credit whoever posted that but don't remember who at the moment. Thanks from me anyway! I'm a newbie to Linux, slowly learning.
