Google,Firefox and the paranoid

Reading the following 2 articles made me wonder:
Is there any user left out there that is so naive and simple that they think their time online is private and their M$ security tools or even other retail security tools good enough to keep hackers \ ""big brother"" \or the so called ""do no evil like google .
