PCMCIA not working on compaq evo n200 laptop :(

Hi, just installed puppy 2.17.1 and all went well until i tried to get my wireless pcmcia card to work, when i use the internet connection wizard it only finds the builtin wired Ethernet port

and the lights on the wireless card do not turn on.

dmesg shows...

tried a different card and once i had installed the windows drivers it worked fine
