Can SeaMonkey still compete since the release of Firefox 3 and Opera 9.5?

I've always liked it more than Firefox.
Although I have to admit, I like the cleanness of Skipstone, I've been using it since I bought the new CD from Barry.
Might try and make a puppy with Skipstone and nothing else, to see if it gets on my nerves. I use Seamonkey by default on this machine.

Will Firefox and Opera ever produce a working browser?
I used Firefox3 for a week. Very good. Very fast very pleasant. It crashed ocassionaly but resumed.
I was resuming too much. It seemed to be crashing more.

So am using Seamonkey.

Opera is 'industry standard' which means it does not render some web pages, does not support some services, for example Stumbleupon out of the box. I can not use it.

So I am using Seamonkey.
A theoretically better browser is not practical.

Who feels competition innovates?
Maybe I will try 'Flock' again . . .

I like the SeaMonkey shared url/search box. Saves a cluttered interface.

In skipstone, you type

Code: Select all

google:
and your search string into the address bar, which does the same thing as selecting "Search google for" in the address bar of Seamonkey. Other defaults are

Code: Select all

yahoo:
for Yahoo and

Code: Select all

fm:
for FreshMeat, and you can choose others from clicking Settings>Preferences>Prefixes.

I'm really getting on with this browser. Much cleaner interface than the other "grownup" browsers, but can view more pages than Dillo/Netsurf. The only downside is learning all the keyboard shortcuts again.
