Problem booting liveCD

I'm tryin to install Puppy 1.0.2 to my old computer:

Pentium2 - 200MHz
32MB Ram
3GB Harddisk (2.7GB free space) - in one FAT32 partition

I took a photo of the screen where everything stops, see the attachement.
What should I do?

Try Pup 1.0.1, it has kernel 2.4.

John, those are classic symptoms of a corrupt pup001 file on your hard drive. Puppy looks for the pup001 file when it boots. If there is a pup001 file but it has something wrong with it, Puppy hangs and asks for a password.

The pup001 is the file where configuration and work is saved on an available hard disk. To delete it you require a boot disk - a windows boot disk is often fine.

boot up
c:
and del pup001

1.0.2 is out and a major change to a faster and more comprehensive Linux kernel (core program) has been started.

However if experiencing problems try:

PizzaPuppy - uses the more stable 2.4 kernel and v1.0.1 setup with printing and better support for some older software

Notice the boot up options (activated by pressing 1-4)

The wallpaper is Ice kewled . . .
Glad it worked for you. Pizzasgood - the deep pan who created pizzapup will be well pleased - he is away on holiday at the moment. Barry is gonna offer a choice of kennels [ . . . ahem kernels . . . I mean . . .] which will allow boot up from 2.4 or 2.6 Linux kernels . . .
- sorry can not remember the details but this will be a further enhancement.

:)
