Boxpup - wbar & dock to remain above windows?

#1 Post by sml »

I am enjoying getting back into Puppy after a break for a year or two :)

Where is the config file and how do I tweak it to enable the wbar to remain on top of the windows? Or when I move the mouse over the wbar area, for the wbar to reappear over the windows?

Similarly with the openbox dock ... there is a summary bar dock with the open windows but I cannot force it to remain above the main windows. (The other part with the free memory and volume control remain fixed above the windows but not the other part of the dock with the open window boxes.)

i don't know, or think that's able to be done with wbar, even if it did, it would not look very good, it would bring the entire desktop up with it, since it's made just to be a dock-like launcher for the desktop.

but it might not be a bad idea to try cairo-dock. you would need to get it's dependencies, but other than that, it should work the way you like, if you set it up that way.
