Gmail is laggy

When I browse the folders in Gmail from Puppy, it acts so slowly. I have to hit the "reload" button each time I click on the folder link. What could be causing this? Is it Java?

In comparison, When I run SuSE, Gmail's folders respond instantaneously.

I have Puppy 4.1 and 2GB ram.

I don't know why gmail would be faster with Suse, but for me using
the classic, simple version in gmail runs much faster then normal
version.

Don't you miss the chat feature, or do you have anyone that you like to chat with?

No, I just use seamonkey mail from the desktop mostly.
I do check into my old hotmail account occasionally; that
runs fast . Doesn't run from desktop though.
Maybe the seamonkey browser in puppy is slower on gmail
than the one Suse uses.

Funny thing is, I'm running Seamonkey 1.1.13 at the moment but before that, I was running SM 1.1.9 or so and I never had this laggy problem. I've noticed that SM in Puppy is 1.1.11.

Gmail seems to be much better now. It now loads the folders faster than before.

What I did was to update Java, install GTK-2, added a few fonts and set SeaMonkey to use them (Arial, Georgia and Courier New). I also have the page cache comparison set to "Every time I view the page".
