I am attempting to load Puppy onto some low RAM computers. How do I get the Live CD to work properly when there is not enough RAM to boot up the LiveCD? I have tried a boot parameter such as "puppy pfix=noram" to no avail.
Any ideas appreciated.
Kernel boot parameter for "noram"
128 RAM should be enough to boot the live cd
it won't copy the big pup_xxx.sfs to RAM because it measures the RAM space and would know there isn't enough.
After you make the pup_save file (on shut down), on the next boot it should copy the big pup_xxx.sfs file to the same partition as the pup_save file, and use it from there, thereby freeing the cd-rom for other purposes.
It is doesn't work this way, please elaborate in your next post.
