Ok, so I used Opera browser to download Puppy 3.01 as I have an older machine with 64m of ram. I used BurnCDCC to burn the Live CD, I set my boot order to start with the CD rom drive. I get as far as

Loading kernel drives needed to access disk drives... done
Searching for Puppy files in computer disk drives...pup_301.sfs not found. Dropping out to initial-ramdisk console...
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

Now what???

Sorry Dell Inspiron 3500 laptop with 64m ram and 4gig hard drive.

check your download in properties to make sure it's all there.

burn a new disk a 8-10 speed.

if it still won't work here's another option to try:

puppy 2.12 is small and fast and only 67m on it's own

you'll need to reboot and make your pupsave right away as you'll have very little free memory when you start

Ok, I think I will try the 2.12 version of Puppy and see how it goes. I would like to just erase the harddrive and start over with Puppy so is there a procedure that I need to follow that is different than other versions of Puppy or can I just follow the directions listed on the Puppy sites?
