Go to "menu->filesystem->pfind file finder", type the word "media".

There is no /media directory in puppy unless you create one.
But I think you are confused about other distro's which have a special directory /media.
Time savers:
Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).
Consult Wikka
Use peppyy's puppysearch

Why don't you start by telling which puppy you use?
The concept you are describing is either from Suse or Ubuntu. It's not in puppy.

Puppy mounts in /mnt/.
If you prefer /media, you need a special drivemounter I once wrote, called "muppyquickmount".
It has a checkbox to force to load to /media/.
But I just added it to achieve compatibility for modern desktops like KDE and Gnome (that use HAL).

In Puppy, you usually will not need this, as everything is available in /mnt/.

You can download muppyquickmount including Gtkbasic from here (first link):

In Puppy 4.2.1, click on the menu button in the bottom left corner of the screen and go to Desktop/Desktop drive icons manager. Tick the box for drive icons and the box for partition icons. Reboot.

If you are using a different distro that doesn't have the desktop drive icons manager, please post the distro version.
