For the longest time I've been able to watch Hulu videos with flash player 9.0 r159 but now its forcing me to upgrade to at least flash 10.0.22, there
are 4 .pets listed here and i'm not sure on what the reasoning for that is.

Which one is the stable version?, I'm not sure which to download...

Is there some way that I can keep my flash 9 and fool hulu that I have flash 10? Everything but hulu works fine with flash 9.

Edit: I installed the 10.0.45.2 .pet and it seems to be working ok so far.

It's very simple to upgrade flash.
You need only to download the flash plugin from
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html
the tarball contains only one file libflashplayer.so and extract it (it's better that you rename the old file libflashplayer.so.old so you will not erase it) and put it in the same directory of the old one.
When you run your browser new plugin is just active.
