devx installed, make not found

#1 Post by solxyz »

In lucid puppy 501, I have the devx module copied to /mnt/home and i have it added in the boot manager to load at start-up, but "make" comes back with command not found. Any ideas?

Is the md5sum of the devx right? (I'm assuming you don't have a full install).

Did you reboot after setting up the sfs files to load on rebooting?
Another way is to install the sfsinstaller by trio.
With it you can install the devx and kernel source sfs files without rebooting.
CAUTION: A lot of space in your pupsave file is used if you have a frugal install.
You can then use the Puppy Package Manager to uninstall them just like you would uninstall a PET package.
