Sometimes I can connect, but most of the time I cannot with puppy builds from Puppy 4.2,4.3, 5.0, Quirky, etc.
Is this a Comcast issue or something that can be resolved on the Puppy side of things?
For example I just downloaded and did a live install of Quirky 1.2 retro and can't connect to the internet... when I run network set up.. the comcast modem will not accept my connecting to their network... could this mean that Comcast does not trust Puppy.. It appears to be in a listen mode, can Puppy be made to bark to be recognized by it?
Anyway, it seems like all the time now, the network connection test fails.. and no internet.
This is pretty important to me, since using the internet with live CD is what attracted me to Puppy 4 years ago, yet has been a weakness of many of the recent official pups and derivatives...
Any ideas?
Mike
