Missing "libgio" on Lucid 5.1.1?

#1 Post by jaddison »

Hey all!

I'm running Lucid 5.1.1 on a USB install, and I'm getting "libgio" as a persistent missing dependency in user-installed packages. I see that the package manager has a "libgio-fam_2.22.0" package, but installing that doesn't make anything go away.

I've poked into /user/lib and can't find a libgio listing there (research suggests that's where it would be).

Am I missing something? Corrupt save file maybe?

Thanks.

This is in my /usr/lib of 5.1.1
/usr/lib/libgio-2.0.so
/usr/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0
/usr/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0.2400.0
/usr/lib/libgiomm-2.4.so
/usr/lib/libgiomm-2.4.so.1
/usr/lib/libgiomm-2.4.so.1.3.0
You should give more precise info f.e. the error messages you get.

Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).

I have the same issue. And before the last person who commented "need more info on dependency" suggestion, there IS none.

I have both Puppy 4 and Lucid Puppy and my Wifi scanner proggy won't work at all. When I checked for missing dependencies, all that pops up is a tiny window saying "missing libgio DEPENDENCY...ZERO info on WHAT/WHICH...so as the OP said, is it a BUG?

Start your program in a console and post the output here.
Also specify the exact versions of your installations.
