i cannot update any programs

so ive dowloaded the update on the filezilla program,when i open it,it gives my like a blank page to type in,ive also tried to install ninja pendisk in order to protect my files that i would be sending to others,for example,if someone leave one of my files infected,while i open it,it would delete it,ive dowloaded multiple items i wanted to install,but i keep getting that blank page to type in tell me what do i do please

You need to get programs that where compiled for Puppy Linux.
