Wlan setup but puppy requests IP

#1 Post by flebber »

Hi

I setup puppy install, I clicked on connect ran scan to detect network, selected WEP and added my password. Puppy then said connected to Wlan please get IP.

Not sure what that means get IP, if puppy is connected via WEP to the router then shouldn't ir get IP from there?

You should always explain more exactly about steps taken and the tools used when asking for help.
If you are connected to the router, this doesn't mean you did got an IP. You have to request it.
Time savers:
Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).

I have never had to request it before. How do I request an IP in puppy?

Just follow the network wizard.
