Volume muted?

#1 Post by brad »

Just booted up Puppy Linux 5.1 and have just noticed that the volume is muted? The freezing weather we're having around here must have frozen what ever grey matter i've got because i can't find where i can unmute the volume. Help someone please.

Hi,

If there is a Volume icon in your tray with a small red cross, then:
left click on that icon and a vertical bar will pop up. Then left click in that bar near the top for loudest or nearer the bottom for softer.

If you click at the very bottom of that vertical bar it will reset to mute.

My regards

Hi Sir Jasper and racepres, i do have a volume icon in my tray with a small red cross. So i right-clicked on the volume icon and a window opened called 'Retrovol'. Anyway, i fiddled about with the settings a little and i now have Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells blasting out all round the house lol. Thanks for the replies both.
