My computer IS able to play sims 3 without problems
what is wrong?
Will playonlinux help? If it can, how can i execute the .tar.gz?
Games running on wine cannot detect graphic hardware!
Do you have PlayOnLinux downloaded to the flash drive, if so you can open it using XArchive found at Menu/Utility/XArchive archiver.
Before you open it just click on the .tar.gz file first and the archiver should open, click on Extract and extract the files to the same directory.
I would recommend that you have the .tar.gz file in my-applications first.
When you have the file/s extracted see if there is a README file or an install file and read the instructions.
If you have to compile the program you will need to download the lupu_devx_520.sfs file and put it in
/mnt/home
then reboot so that it will show up in Puppy Boot Configuration window.
When you reboot go to Menu/System/BootManager configure bootup
click on Load SFS files.
When the window opens the devx file should show up in the left pane, highlight it and click Add, reboot.
This time if you open a terminal and type in gcc and hit enter it should say:
gcc: no input files
this means that the compiler in working.
Now if you have to compile the program you can follow the instructions included with the program.
If you do not need to to compile just follow the instructions either included or on the PlayOnLinux site.
You will also need to have Python installed in Puppy
