Yep; they've been talkin about perpindicular recording for years now, glad to see they're finnally getin' around to it.
I wouldn't doubt that it's the last major tech improvement for magnetic devices before they virtually die out.

Now if they'll just start making H.D.s with 2 head actuators moving 2 sets of heads, that'll improve performance!
