Bank Transfer Day a boon to credit unions, small banks.

#1 Post by Doglover »

Five weeks after Bank of America announced a $5 monthly fee for debit-card use and blamed it on new financial rules, and four days after Bank of America did an about-face after other large banks dropped similar plans, John Gorham and Julie Glover made their own change in direction.

Hi Doglover,

You can either select your link and then press the URL button on top of the text field:

http://www.philly.com/philly/business/2 ... banks.html

then becomes

http://www.philly.com/philly/business/2 ... banks.html

OR

you type or paste your text, say:

"Bank Transfer Day a boon to credit unions"

select it, then press the URL button, to get this:

Bank Transfer Day a boon to credit unions,

just add "=web address" to the front , like this example:[url=www.google.com ... dit unions

There's a forum help function to the left of the text input field "BBCode"

You still have to read the fine print.
Some credit unions are just as bad.

I joined one a long time ago.
No problems till a new CEO came on board recently.

He never met a fee (or massive fee increase) that he didn't like.
And I've never seen so much staff turnover.

So I joined a real credit union--one that's much like the first one was before the new boss ruined it.

Bottom line: Take a good look under the hood (or bonnet  ) before you transfer.

"Wells Fargo spokesman Ruben Pulido said the move demonstrates that Occupy Oakland recognizes the value and service the bank provides its customers"

I've got accounts in both Wells Fargo and BOA :)

For me, it really comes down to this:

Money is money. Some have it, some don't.

I'm a member of the latter crowd, for those who haven't figured that out already
