Not worth the effort, last time I looked. :(

Give us a link to the Ubuntu .deb, and I'll give it a try.

Now there's a coincidence.
I haven't been to Tucows for over 4 years.

I was actually on Tucows, getting something else, (which will be revealed shortly), while you were posting, and while I was there I searched for, and d/l CompuPic.

I tried it, and all I can say is that they should hang their heads in shame, releasing it in that condition.
Better they stick to Windows.

# compupic: dynamic-link.h:57: elf_get_dynamic_info: Assertion `! "bad dynamic tag"' failed.

The offer still stands re: a .deb.
If someone has had the patience to sort this out and made a workable package, I'll look at it.

Edit: On looking thru the installed files, I see that Photodex are (or are allied-to) AmazingMail, a(some would say undesirable) marketing co.

Afterthought: Try running the Win version in Wine, and see what happens.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Thanks, I am trying to get compupic pro registered on win 7 and it won't accept my registration. I verified my info at photodex, and noticed the archives were missing. google search turned up the tucows link. I read that it had been ported to ubuntu, but don't know if anyone has done anything with it. registration is the only issue I have had with it.

photodex responded quickly with a solution. run as admin, set security level from default 3/4 to zero while installing. then reset as you wish.
