How to setup for boot w/o asking for password?

Hello,
I've just installed the newest Puppy linux (frugal) and can't find a way to boot w/o the need to type the password.
I want a root password for SSH, but I want the PC itself to boot w/o asking for a password.

Puppy doesn't ask for a password, unless you created an encrypted save file.

Is this your problem?

Thanks.

The simplest procedure is to delete the encrypted save file and start again.

1. Boot off your Live CD. At the initial 5-second pause, type

Code: Select all

puppy pfix=ram
2. Mount the partition containing the save file and delete it.

3. Reboot normally.
