trying to install LibreOffice 4.0 rpm packages

#1 Post by Eric_R »

I can't seem to get the rpm command to work with wildcards to install the latest version of LibreOffice. Are wildcards OK to use with the rpm command? I'm using "rpm -i *.rpm", but it stops after the first package. Any help would be appreciated.

Any reason you wouldn't have chosen the deb or the portable? Yer Pup?

I chose the RPM packages because I didn't know which version would be the correct version for Slacko 5.4.

If you go the menu, choose Setup, System, then Package Manager, you find Libre Office there.

Might be more easy than doing this rpm stuff...

*IF* you know how to fill dependencies, you can get a 4.0 here.

If you can use an sfs, you might want to try get_libreoffice....search for it in the forum. Use the latest version.

I use get_libreoffice pet to download and create sfs. This pet is located at

I have libreoffice version 4.0 running on Slacko 5.4.0.3
