Works perfectly.
Now here's how to install JAVA plugin
Visit
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
Click verify
Click on the missing plugin icon
Go to the download site.
Download the linux version with bin extension.
When finished.
Right click on window and select xterm here
then type in the terminal "sh /jre-1_5_0_07-linux-i586.bin"
By the way shift-enter is to paste. sh is like command.exe in dos

Now to install the plugin. create a symbolic link to the plugin folder of mozilla firefox. aka copy a shortcut of the java plugin to firefox plugin folder.

do this via the terminal with the ln -s command or
right click the file located at something like
/root/jre1.5.0_07/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
then select File->Link and
type something like /root/my-documents/firefox/plugins/libnullplugin.so

or wherever you installed Firefox.

upgrade to seamonkey 1.0.7 ...

#5 Post by cegil »

i am using puppy 2.10 w/ seamonkey 1.0.4 and i want to upgrade to seamonkey 1.0.7, does this same procedure work.

do i have to unzip it into the folder where the 1.0.4 is, first then unzip it or should i put it into the mozilla folder, since that is not being used in puppy 2.10, huh?
