I really would like to build a communications server out of puppy linux and setup an SMTP, POP3, HTTP, and FTP server that operates out of ram.
Can anyone make suggestions for stable programs that are compatable with puppy... are there any available ?
I am mostly interested in setting up an email and web based server...

Any SMTP, POP3, HTTP, FTP Servers for Puppy?
Webserver:
http://144.118.197.41/webfs/webfs-pup.tar.gz
Read about at http://bytesex.org/webfs.html , and by typing "webfsd -h" after it is installed. I just started using it ( http://144.118.197.41 ) and I like it a lot.
To install it, you'll have to extract the tar.gz to root. My apologies for the package format.
By default it automatically converts a directory structure into a website. This can be disabled with the "-j" option, allowing you to host a real website.

Thanks keenerd...
I downloaded "webfsd" from your site the other day and installed it without any problems... It's amazing how simple it is...
I wish the email servers could be this simple... from what I understand Exim and Sendmail are 2 open source email servers... Exim being the easiest to configure... I also run into XMail on another distro... this one may be good for puppy also...
+++ Can anyone out there compile these for puppy ? I bet it would be useful among many puppy fans... I know I would be one of them
Anyway... thanks again for "webfsd" ( very much appreciated )
