Bumblebee with Nvidia/Optimus

#1 Post by toppas »

Hi,

how can i make Bumblebee work on Puppy. Doesn't matter which Puppy (Precise/Slacko/4.31 etc).
Did anybody make it work already? Has anybody a sfs or pet-Package? I'm not that good with Linux to compile it myself and make it work.
Is it possible to add a PPA to Precise and install it like in Ubuntu?
I did Download the recent Nvidia-driver (sfs) but they seem to work only with the recent Kernel (Kernelversion 3.9 and up), recent randr and xorg server 1.14, if i get it right.
Perhaps I could upgrade the Xorg-Server and Randr in Precise?
Could that work?

I hope, anybody can help me. It's the only reason i can't work with puppy on my notebook. (gets hot and fast low batteries)

Thank you

Hello Toppas- there's nothing to compile. Read here, hit 'view pkg details' and install the four Precise pkgs.
