Hi.

Sorry for english not good.
I was buying laptop Dell Inspiron 15R 3521 with preinstalled Ubuntu, erase them for installing Puppy.

Specs:

First i try to install Slacko but was horrible graphical artefacts, Slacko working not good on integrated Intel hd graphics i guess. But it is not problem because Precise and Quirky works fine. Problem: i can not to run wifi and bluetooth.

Hardinfo: Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev01)

Wifi: Frisbee and Network Creator not detections any wireless hardware.
Bluetooth: bluetooth4.0.pet instaled and working (Bluetooth: Enabled) but not any connections.

On Ubuntu forums i find this:
http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php
but i don't know how to create a driver.

I found this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/n76dcsdtayvp0 ... 9_i386.deb
but still not working.

From Quirky repo i download this:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky ... .2plus.pet
http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky ... 120920.pet
and nothing better.

I was download and install Puppy Saucy 5.8 with 3.15 kernel but not better.

Precise5.6/5.7, Quirky Tahr, Saucy5.8
What now?

and Ubuntu specs and comments.

CONS:
No support for Linux from Dell support.
WIFI stops working after you apply the online updates from Ubuntu for
the first time.

After calling Dell, the Dell representative replied saying that they don't have expertise on Linux and you can install pirated Windows OS which they can support.
Bad customer support experience from Dell.

However, I was able to fix the issue after some googling on
Ubuntu forums.

Basically what needs to be done is to upgrade the kernel from 3.2.0-56-generic to 3.2.0-5...

Now the laptop works fantastically.."

Others may wander in here and give suggestions.
