You need to close the pop up to get to the file

Is this the same RealPlayer you can download from the realplayer.com website ?

I have RealPlayer, but have also seen mentions of RealOnePlayer.

Thought I would ask..

It is the helix-player, the GPLed version without commercial addons.
The About-dialog sais:
RealPlayer 10.0.7.785 (gold).
It cannot play avi-videos, so you still will need gxine or mplayer.
It might be a good solution for streaming media.

The site where you hosted had so much advertising - and there in tiny letters it said download - but the download was covered by another ad
- then you were transferred to another ad site . . .

In future host here

these cheap sites are good for a test-upload.
I can easily download then, and upload to dotpups.de, this is the quickest solution.

You might send me a personal message, so that I don't oversee it in the forum.

Hi!

Any idea where to download a Real Player (or a media player with real-codec inside) at the moment?

Thank you very much!

What do you have to do when you get the "Open it with/save to disk" option?

?

What or whom do you mean?

If you talk about sr.se webradio:

left upper corner on www.sr.se: "Webradio", Pop-Up-window now opens. Then click "extern spelare" and choose "Realplayer". Now the realplayer is starting.

Or installation of realplayerxxx.pup?

Save to disk (your download-folder) and then install e.g via Puppys package-manager, or via ROX Filer file manager (just click on realplayerxxx.pup).

I downloaded realplayer-10.pup from
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Multimedia/RealPlayer-10.pup
and installed it, and restarted the computer. It now opens fine as Realplayer.

However I want to be able to watch videos on the BBC site. I go to the BBC site in Seamonkey and click on the 'watch now' button and select to use realplayer but it comes back with
Default Plugin
This page contains information of a type (audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin) that can only be viewed with the appropriate Plug-in. Click OK to download plugin
If I click OK it takes me to plugins.netscape.com and then to the realplayer site to what appears to be another download of realplayer 10 which I have already installed.

How can I get streaming video to play on the BBC site. Is there a simple adjustment needed to get realplayer to work, or do I have to install firefox, gxine codecs, mplayer or what? I'm in the dark here.
Thanks.

With one of the older Puppy-version, 2.1 I guess it was, I coul visit
www.sr.se.
Today with Puppy 3.01 and installed Realplayer the Gxine plugin starts
even if I choose Realplayer on the sr.se homepage.
I dont know how to change the path to the Realplayer, I dont even know where to look for the path.
There is an installation instruction for the Realplayer on how to copy 2 files, but when I do that Puppy freezes .
Is that instruction still valid ?
Do I also have to install Firefox or should it work with Seamonkey ?

I frequently visit www.sr.se and it would be nice to be able to do it from Puppy.
