Every time I go into street view in Google Maps the system first seizes up and then a few seconds later crashes.
I assume I am running out of memory. Short of getting more, is there anything to be done?
Thanks

How is Xenial installed, frugal or full?
Does the computer have a version of windows, which version?
Which version of streetview? (version number)
Where did you get it (downloaded from?)
How did you install it? (is it a sfs, pet, deb?) PPM install?
Did this version of streetview ever run correctly or has it always crashed?

Google maps in 'street-view' is a Google-Earth type of thing. VERY resource intensive. Its not the ram as much as CPU/video.
FWIW Slacko5.7 and a netbook gives limited use... it clogs up after a bit of use.

Got that for Internet connection speed?

Sorry for the late reply. I have been nursing a nasty cold.
I have an up to date frugal install, and I was using street view in Google Maps within a recent install of Firefox.
Puppy is the only OS on the machine.
I don't use Street View a lot, but I have never had it crash a computer before. There again, I have never used it within Firefox before.
The 61P is relatively new (to me), but this is the first problem I have encountered while using it. The drive is a new Samsung Evo, and there is plenty of room on the "disk".
Internet speed is as much as I can get (fibre-optic), though there have been a few service interruptions recently. Don't know why or whether that could cause a crash though.
The BIOS is the famous Middleton, which allows me to use a faster chip. The machine is used almost purely for web browsing and email. Both fans work well and the machine never overheats.

xenialpup64 7.5 has Pale Moon browser.
Try using it to run Google Map.
This could just be a buggy Firefox version.
