Is there a RAM indicator for the task bar?

Window managers, icon programs, widgets, etc.

Hello everybody:

Do you know any .pet that makes a small icon which indicates the quantity of RAM free /used in your puppy (JWC)

THANKS A LOT

(WITH FBBOX you have these indicators.- CPU, NET, RAM, how can I put them in my puppy with JWM?)

Hello, pp4mnklinux.

Euh... use fbbox as WM, not jwm, silly! :) Or use pekwm: pekwm has an on-the-fly
menu entry for this, IIRC.

Joke aside, no, I do not know of such an app. However, I can achieve this in a
aemenu and on the wmx menu. I can't show you the wmx menu version (I did not
install wmx on this BusterPup), but here is a capture of the occupied RAM entry on
an aemenu.

It's simple enough to do: someone just had to think of how! Maybe you'll find
something if you dig deep enough in the Internet.

Forgive my brashness: I just downed a couple of Chrome and Firefox beers from
tallboy's thread! ;)

Dear all,

There is a RAM widget (gtk2desklet-3.1.pet), and a freeram script that will display available RAM on the desktop as a bar. You can edit the freeram script to get a bar size that suits you.

I have it in my startup.

With kind regards,
vovchik

Dear pp4mnklinux,

gtk2desklet does not do anything by itself - it is a module that lets you create widgets using gtkdialog. I am attaching my freeram (edit X and Y and the bar width to suit your purposes.) Click on the script after unpacking and you should see a widget showing RAM on your desktop.

With kind regards,
vovchik
