possible bug in pupsave backup

#1 Post by B.K. Johnson »

Working in tahr-6.0.6 from 8 GB flash drive with 622 MB free (sdb1).
pupsave is 1.2 GB with 137 MB free.
Free space on storage devices: sda1(hard drive) 5.2 GB; sdc1 1.7 GB; sdd1 9.7 GB.

Attempting to use Pupsave backup from Menu gave this error, repeated in an endless loop, "killed" eventually.

Seems the error is due to the size of the pupsave (1.2 Gb) being larger than free space on /home/ (sdb1 622 Mb).

I don't care, personally, for I have always done my backups manually and will do so in this case. But the stewards may want to take a look - why there is an endless loop that prevents selection of a device with space. A backup to home should not even be an option IMHO.
