ideas wanted: a free software Federation

#1 Post by nosystemdthanks »

the concept of a free software federation is growing as we speak.

this is more about a voluntary (non-uniform, non-binding) collective than a governing body-- decentralisation of a single thing (the fsf) is really the point, as opposed to uniting a bunch of already-existing entities (as with the u.n.)

the purpose of this post is simple-- familiarity with the concept is not terribly important. if you have any ideas for this federation (or things you would change about the fsf) then this is an opportunity to throw your ideas into the ring.

ideas are being sought for possible inclusion in a new guide to federation.

again, familiarity with the subject is not a requirement-- whatever the idea of a "free software federation" means to you (if anything) is sufficient.
