First, I'll admit I've not been here for a while, and am out of touch. There have been a few minor distractions this year.
Second, beyond running folding@home on underused Linux machines to help with biomedical research, it is now possible to run rosetta@home under BOINC on a Raspberry Pi 3 or 4. It requires a 64-bit OS.
Several people doing this are using Ubuntu, but that strikes me as overly heavyweight. Does anyone have experience with a lighter 64-bit Linux that will support BOINC?
Some enthusiasts have gone beyond contributing time on individual machines and supplied folding@home servers.
This may or may not contribute to defeating covid-19, but it is more interesting than some other activities.
64-bit ARM distro that can run BOINC?
