Florence virtual keyboard vanishes

upupbb32-8.0
florence vanishes from screen every time a character is selected. is this normal? seems pretty useless to me. or am i dong it wrong?

With package manager install "at-spi2-core" including any deps then I'll tell you the next step.

Go into ~/Startup, rt-clk and make a new script with this line under the shebang:

Code: Select all

exec florence "$@"
Save the file then clk to start.

After entering some input, does Florence now stay open?

Yes? We're good.

No? Then there's another detail that requires checking..

Good. If you care to check you'll find the required "at-spi-bus-launcher" running within htop.

disappointing that both files not linked in download with florence. there's just too much to know. but thx v much. now i can type whilst using vr headset in bed.
