A request was made for a win/linux partitioning tool.
Puppy mulit-session live-cd ...
"3. From Windows or a specialised Linux boot CD, run an application to resize the partition... can anyone make some suggestions here?"
Go to http://www.sysresccd.org/ and download the iso. Use the QTParted tool on the cd (http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/). Its incredibly easy to use, insert the cd, answer screen config questions, type in qtparted at prompt. It has a GUI interface, auto recover from failed or broken session without damage. Note: use Ctrl+Alt+Del to terminate sysresccd linux session.
Only issue I had was on win xp pro, when I rebooted it gave me a blue screen message asking to repair a partion allocation error, said yes, ran for a bit and done, no problems. Not an issue with xp home.
Its almost as awsome as Puppy!
