Good call. I configured it prior to full installation. And thought it would install/save with my configured settings. Now its saved!!

Puppy 4 Manual lists unavailable program

I am reading the puppy 4 manual section on installing Debian Programs. The first step it gives is to install the dillo browser and pb_debianinstaller program from the petGet menu. These 2 programs are not available in this menu.

alsa loses config at reboot

Hey Fellow Pups,

I am trying to get the sound working right. If I use the sound wizard everything configures perfectly!!!!

However, when I go to reboot....I loose the configuration and have to start the wizard again. maybe i have to add some kind of line to a modprobe file???

Adam, thank ye gods for answering me....i was starting to feel like such a lonely puppy. It's allright though I solved my problem. It wasn't really my problem or puppy's problem. Ok, I just tried to setting it up via the command line and got some errors. When I issue the command: dhcpcd eth0

I get the following error:

Error, eth0: timed out

warning, eth0: using IPV4LL address 169.254.14.220

Installed Puppy to Toshiba Portege, but no internet

Hey all,

I installed Puppy on my toshiba portege 7020ct laptop and plugged in the network cable. I test the configuration and then assign it using DHCP. Everything is reported as success, however I can't get on the internet browse the web or anything. Please help!

Hey All, I just installed puppy 4 on my toshiba portege 7020ct laptop it runs great, but I can't get the internet working. My family has a optimum online cable modem. I plug it in and attempt to configure the LAN. First I test eth0, which is successful. Then I click on dhcp for auto-detect. This is ...
