Quick question and forgive me if it is stupid. Can the newly released Puppy 430 use widgets and a sidebar? I downloaded it yesterday and there was no sidebar and no PWidgets in the menu options :( Very disappointed. Do I need to download a pet to get them back or has 430 abandoned widgets altogether...

Making some progress with Grub (I think) I can now boot from floppy using grub giving me three options: 1) boot from CD 2) boot from frugal install 3) boot windows So far only option 1 works though. My frugal install is in sda5 and in a folder called puppy421 Windows is on sda2 my grub menu.lst file...

Thanks ttuuxx I checked the link in the startup folder and it was still pointing to the zipped package so I made a new link to the installed file and it worked first time Sorry didn't get back on here to tell you yesterday it was late in the UK It's fantastic though - love the flags - so cool where ...

So far yes...puppy does not offer a way to boot this setup but you can use grub4dos to do so from the windows bootloader. http://grub4dos.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Grub4dos_tutorial By the way a separate partition is not needed this way..what did you format the partition too out of interest? m...
