the remaster script in 2.0 does not work when installed to the hardrive. You need to boot from the CD. Sorry if i have misunderside you. It is very late here.

ok then i guess just sticking with seamonkey is the best option. Also does anyone know how much deleting programs will actually shrink the iso in a remaster. Is there like a converstion between uncropressed files and the compressed ones on the iso?

remaster in 2.01 problems

when trying to remaster in 2.01 it give you a chose where to put the iso. I chose hda3. The script said that the iso would be in /mnt/hda3/puppylivecdbuild. The problem with this is that that the partiontion my pup_save is on. This creates a problem because when the script tries ti write to mnt/hda3 ...

uninsalling parts of seamonkey

im running puppy 2.01 with seamonkey. I was wondering if there is a way to unistall parts of the seamonkey. I want to get rid of the adress book. Im trying to makea striped down 50mb iso.

I have 192 ram. And I know i can use swap but I want to figure out why i'm having this problem so i can mabey fix it(i like to have everything figured out and working, its just how I am).

I use puppy 1.09ce. And i created a remaster. I removed some programs with pupbegone and installed some .pups. When i try to boot i get errors like "cp writing /root/.xfinans/ : no space left on device. I bleive this has to do with not enough ram. I found this out by testing the cd on a different ...

ok i've solved the problem. The computer i used just didnt have enough ram(wow thats a stupid mistake). I found this out by testing the cd on a different computer with 265 megs ram. But what i don't get is why a remaster should take more ram. The usr_cram.fs for the remaster is 51 megs while the ...

i tried the new script and it didn't help. I do recommend to whoever is in contol of puppy 1.09 i would recommend to upgrade the alienx script to the new one its much nicer. When i try to boot in only in ramdisk i get a bunch of errors after it puts usr_cram.fs into / (the ramdisk) . the errors say ...
