Extremely sorry for my impolite previous post..kinda got excited abt the problem getting solved.

I did switch to JWM in 5.2.5

and believe me there was a file named .jwmrc-traye (with an e) I thought it was a backup file which comes with the installation)

Finally sorted out the problem ...had to rename .jwmrc-traye to .jwmmc-tray overwriting the existing file (guess it is a backup).

1 row 2 columns, yes tried restarting jwm. didnt fix it.

Im using puppy 5.2.5 , my wm is jwm, Im not satisfied with the jwm tray. I want to try stalonetray but I have no idea how to add launchers and applets to it any help will be appreciated.

@Burn_IT I tried PLOP it does not recognise the sd card. It recognises the installation only when the card is in a external USB card reader but not in the internal card slot. So the above solution is the best known to me so far.

will give it a try in the weekend and get back with the results... a simpler way is always a better one.

I havent tried PLOP, but as far as documentation of Plop and a little googling confirms it does not seem to support booting from sd cards.

Most welcome, gr8 to know it works. (abt gnome 3 ..no idea, havent still figured to use gnome 2 with puppy yet!!!)
